Wrinkles and a StoryA Poem by Xena the soon to be 9th graderLOOK AT HER FACE AND READ HER STORY
Every lady has a story to tell.
You don't have to break her or invade her shell There upon her face you will see her life has left pieces for you to read That one there says trials and tribulations That one says fun times with memories making. That deep one there says "Hey I'm Pregnant" That long, long thin one says my days are ending. But through her smile you see fulfillment No regrets on the paths she's taken. And though she has wrinkles all around There stands her eyes, bright and proud She knew she would get old one day And through her eyes you know she's lived her way All that's left now is her forever growing ball of fire Deep within her yet to have retire! And through her wrinkles you can see she has sowed and she has reaped the life that she truly wanted to lead! © 2013 Xena the soon to be 9th graderAuthor's Note
