Blue Jay
A Poem by CBH
A poem about a lone blue jay and his song.
Blue Jay A single Blue Jay, On an oaktree branch, Reciting his song, His lovely song, Nonstop. That little bird, Is desperately tired, But he continues on, Reciting his song, His lovely song, Nonstop. Deep in the bushes, A hunter will watch, And ready his gun, But the little Blue Jay will continue, Reciting his song, His lovely song, Nonstop. The hunter strikes, The hunter kills, And the Blue Jay falls, But the wind continues, The sun still shines, And the Blue Jay dies, Reciting his song, His lovely song, Nonstop. -CBH
