The Garden of WonderA Poem by CBHAnother poem about about a misunderstood girl who finds peace in a garden. The Garden of Wonder
Misunderstood, alone, She sat on the concrete bench. Hoping that one day, Things will change, And as a simple tear drops, And lands on the grass, She is wisped away, To a world, Unseen by the eyes of the beholder.
There she lay, In the bed of flowers, That smell so sweet, That her nose has no effect.
She sees butterflies, Dancing in rainbows, But something is missing, Something important.
Everything seems too bright, suddenly, When she realizes what is gone. Then she rushes back into the garden, And tries to return home.
For the thing that was missing, That was essential to life, Was a friend full of compassion, To stay by her side, Through better and worse.
She went to school, And lended a helping hand, And got a friend, To stay with her and visit, The Garden of Wonder.
