lost at the end

lost at the end

A Poem by Nina Vescoso

"

which have lost the light

you see two eyes at your side, which once were my eyes

i had played connect the dots with images

til my heart split in two

i lost all sense of reality because of you

bring what is lost for me and you

to nobody to shout about

words are hard to understand as we lost our sacred tongue

they reach the ears of you, for you have once walked my mind

coming to a dead end

we are lost at the end

i was lost, i was gone

i was warm, but still colder than ice

there was hope, there was more than the dark

took too much to swallow, you blame it on me

you know i didn’t sacrifice selfishly, so why so you blame?

sense of reality washed away

yet still clinging to the rock the once held me steady

the thing we regret, today and ever

i know all is not lost, death is not far

you know you lost me, with death as your enemy

words are hard to understand as we lost our sacred tongue

they reach the ears of you, for you have once walked my mind

coming all to a dead end

for everything is lost in the end
