It just rained today

It just rained today

A Poem by suedama

July 16, 2016          it just rained today

I thought you were going to be happy by now

Yeah only for a little bit, but a little bit gets littler every time

I can’t touch her enough now

The way I feel like there’s something in between vision and photography

Something to make that goddamned unfulfilled feeling go away

Sometimes I can open my arms to nature, man made or not, and say “alright”

I see it in a video or two

Why can’t I shoot a basketball as well?

“You’re not like your brother, you preform better than you practice”

Now I wish I could practice preforming

My brother was older when she said that

Correlation, causation, excuse my devolution, but maybe

“Where did that fire go?”

It went with that shot

It went with loving my feelings

It went with Charlie Gryder

But no one says his name at parties when he’s not there

F**k off about your innocence

We were honest with ourselves

But now I tell strangers I love them

I wish they would stop saying it back
