Heart and Cry

Heart and Cry

A Poem by sudipta paul

The night wet and slushy does disappear.
The eyes long trained and yet despair.
The morning bright, warm and familiar.
They open but dry with tear.
Bags and files,
Piles upon piles.
Order and command.
Loud cry unheard.
Wide smile disciplined.
Swollen eye teary blind
Again does the night fall.
A pale bed ready to call.
A breathless bed tired and wet.
A sleep heavy and profound.
No one really around.
No one really around.
Down the rays of the sun rain.
Run run and gain!
Face distorted, heart long caged.
Head unfed and spirit long naked.
O Lord!thou breaketh the curse.
The Day must cometh.
The soul doth resurrect.
The soul doth resurrect.
