Like a Photograph

I was struck by how a photograph remains timeless even though it only takes a moment to capture an image.....

Enclosed is a memory

A snapshot in time

Forever there freezing

A moment of sublime

 

A loved one is smiling

A birthday treat

Cake and some candles

Family make it complete

 

Baby is happy

Never seems to cry

Locked in childhood

No time passing by

 

Yet such joy released

By paper so thin

No price can be placed

On treasures held within

I love the concept of this one, Sue. I have never thought about photographs like that, a moment in time captured...
I really loved the first verse stanzas;
