Rainbow of Colours

Rainbow of Colours

A Poem by Sue
"

Was contemplating a rainbow here and this came out of the cascading thoughts that followed....

"

Cascading, beautiful light

Coloured spectrum burning bright

Brings forth joys of spring untold

An exquisite scene to behold

Look across the world to see

Many hues such as she

Reds and yellows, blacks and whites

Fills it with such sweet delight

Merging violet, purple, green

Faces contorted look obscene

Sadly bathed in daylight hours

Across the plains for peace it scours

Until a promise it longs to keep

Heals the hurts that run so deep

Continues on to light the skies

And lift the hope of searching eyes
