Land of Dreams

Land of Dreams

A Poem by Sue
"

My dreams are often really colourful and full of confusing images but mostly they tend to run in storylines, so my sleep time can be fun...

"

There is a place not far from here

They call the land of dreams

A spot where fantasies can come true

And wrought are many plans and schemes

This mystery land it can be reached

Not in the daylight hours

But in the night when all is dark

As Sandman shakes his dusty flowers

Where happy times and joy,

Moments of restful peace

For at least a few short hours

You can discover release

Too soon it fades away

Disappears from view

Although there’s always night again

When the working day is through

Finally night comes again

Dreamland comes once more

And at last it can be reached

With all the pleasures as before
