Home Is Where The Heart Is

Home Is Where The Heart Is

A Poem by Sue
"

I wrote this when I finally bought my own place after years of renting....

"

Safe haven, curled up like a ball

I sit enclosed in the warmth

Of all four walls

Enclosed within

Whether asleep upon my bed

Or seated comfy on settee

Home is where

My heart is

No longer touched by the day gone by

A hasty retreat to ground

At last my castle

And my keep

Do what you will but this I know

Where I belong is here

Encased in paradise

Secure, alone
