smile

smile

A Poem by suchitra sarmah

He smiled as i saw him in the road
I paused at that smile
Smile that knows no form
And i took a peep at his face
Sweats were flowing through his body
As he was selling those icecreams
His dark skin dazzled through the holes
Holes those were completing his clothes
His bare feet dazzled in that afternoon
With the dusts of the highway
And i know deep
Thats his story every afternoon
The smile that he passed to me
Of selling a single piece
Somehow made me find the reasons
How life feeds on some purest things
