A poetic evening

A poetic evening

A Poem by suchitra sarmah
"

An imaginary evening with a lover who doesnot exist(imaginary)

"
And you asked my favourite colour
But the conditions applied
I cant use the name of the colour
I replied the forehead of an indian woman
You smiled,I had seen through the future
A poetic evening with you
may be you didnot exist at all
creating you imperfect in your perfection I laughed
may be you were just vacuum

you asked my aim
I told you to live in a hut with no money
But with a life money cant buy
and you looked deep into my eyes
You asked whats the thing that makes me happy most
I told you the way books engulf me
and I lost myself into books
you were a little afraid
Books may drifted me away from you
yes may be you dont exist
But does that really matter
not at all I think
And even if I love you, you have nothing to do with it

It feels like you are missing a lot of words.... It has potential, but o is choppy and the message is all over the place
