Spring Cleaning

Spring Cleaning

A Poem by Kaitlyn Stone

The dirt and

mud, the rich,

brown puddles of

earth.  They

called to her,

reminded her.  She

grinned and made

a leap.

The water splashed,

soaking into her

skin.  Couldn't stand the

cement and concrete,

she needed the

muck and slime

spreading between her

toes:  earthworms

shifting underground.
