Mother

Mother

A Poem by Subversive Reality
"

Words cannot describe

"

Incomprehensible beauty of person,
Which given for no profit gives

And for nothing returned

A woman who felt as all could feel
Within feeling of life

That should have come better

Strong, the rock, that ties solid to us
Her family filled with people that bust
Their own chances, mediocre
Their passes, and this one the worst
Of all the departed

The eldest I am and most troubling child
Mild in character, wild in endeavour
Steeper and sharper than Beachy-

Head cliffs that near ended
The life bless given by her

I'm sorry for the shack I've lived in,
And the darkness
That led to your panic attacks

I'm sorry for all the drugs
And the black thoughts
That pain hath you and me wracked

I wish I could talk to the boy and prevent
Him from venting his anger

In hell bent diversion

I wish I could make amends

From past struggle
But I know not how I'd even begin

I wish that you'd had what you certain deserved
A life of ease, because you truly
Earned the top grade, and made
Yourself from nothing given,
No heritable riches or chance
That I live in

I only promise, that I will try
To fight and defeat
The corpse thoughts within
Mind blight in the poison din

And I promise you, that I will,
I will try my best, and in hope
That we could one day say,
That the rest is history
