The CEO of Certain Evil Opportunity

The CEO of Certain Evil Opportunity

A Poem by Subversive Reality

Knotted up, expensive tie

Pressed collar
Striding swagger as if.... no,

Because you own the place

Respected for your ranking
High, defective waste replaced

With a flick of your pen,
And a tab on keyboards

Well worn by this game

Head aloft, I wonder
If you ever knew humility
Whether slumber comes
Readily, as those
Who live by ethical code

For surely you don't,
This man you sacked today
Will not feed his children tomorrow
Because he is no longer needed,
A loose end not to tie
But to sever instead

Author's Note

Subversive Reality
Someone I know who works very hard lost his job today to a particularly nasty boss. This ones for you Mr. *****, CEO of ********* & Partners. I hope you enjoy your moral decrepitude.
