Oh how to journey inside,
The sly signs decide direction,
Intrepid explorer, to hasten
The plummet into word world
Plinth marking shouldered burden
Of cold ice bracing islands of joy
The destruction destroys
But rebuilds as eruption,
Like volcanic mountains,
Bearing pain that can strengthen
And misery to chasten dark shores
With perpetual fortitude
Foregone forthwith in foreboding thoughts forgotten,
Shot from and by that which is sodden
With past cheers and present fears
To reverse the irreversible,
Disperse the in-dispersible
Ahh the foreman, who made his choice
To fall through the door,
And the doorman,
Who let him crash to the floor,
The pounding sound found only too sure,
Poor boy, who'd ever have thought?
But end this self pity you pathetic little man,
Though the road may be gritty with grime and grief
Great distance from your self promised land
Distend you must from the blend
Of tears and screams that you feel to pretend,
You worry, your problems are not worth to send,
In view of the troubles others must mend,
That you yourself share till the end
You care for these people,
Not just these but those and them also,
This over here and that over there
Humane diaspora of wealth and poverty,
Deprive the depravity,
Don't let this be the gravity
To bend and break souls that need your humanity,
Where some may give also but countless stay amiss
For no-one can take that which lies within you,
The power to love, passion
For compassion and acceptance
Let empathy be your station
