Neuro-illogical

This is the first poem I ever wrote, so I thought it should be the first one I put up here!

Standardised interpretation

of inner cynicism,

tarnished, torn, wasted

Ending, beginning,

repeated ad infinitum

Pigeon holed

packaged

soulless

A testament to self aggrandised deprecation,

depreciation formed empirically, disseminated,

Reliably, wrongly, ravenously consumed,

the pinnacle of nothingness made everything,

directed to no person no place,

no demon to revile no scapegoat to blame,

Auto-inflicted sins reflected, a mirror of self pity,

progress diminished, then abandoned altogether,

retrospective judgement of inner turmoil,

total, mind, destruction...

Repaired, patched, broken again but still moving forward, onward

Blindly into heaven, hell, any vacancy,

despair and hope in equal measure

driven by innate singularity,

freedom, mere idea so close and so distant,

the road well paved but poorly directed,

lost and still finding,

forgot but reminding,

shallowly tread unknown depths,

There is an absence, a hole, but hope,

Somewhere perfection lies in wait, dormant,

The ending loose, malleable,

reality requires no fixed state,

change will come, but not today
