BridgeA Poem by Kara Hadleybad things happen when no one is looking. -enjoy-
A bald man jamming on his guitar and the constant parade of people, Has brought my dyslexia to an all time high. People ride by on rented bikes. A woman too tall with a dress too short struts by, accompanied by a fashionable man. They are laughing and playing their word games. What about us? Accosted by men. Who is protecting the sheep from the foreign wolves? Not you, its clear. A collegiate passes ruffians dining on the dock. Eating sandwiches and soup from home-brought bowls. He scoffs at the youngsters, I scoff at the woman pretending to be candid. Birds steal bread that people forgot and the bald man jams on. © 2008 Kara Hadley |
