Baby

Baby

A Poem by Kara Hadley
"

an interesting little piece. not actually about a baby. -enjoy-

"

I have baby adventures with my baby friends.

I take baby drives to baby cities,

that haven’t changed in a baby while.

I smoke my baby bowl, Betty, with a baby lighter.

I take baby hits and get baby high,

in the backseat of a baby car.

I take baby steps and eat baby cakes;

baby food with my baby friends.

Why are you wearing a crown? he asks.

Its my eighteenth birthday.

No more baby food for you.

I’m ready to take adult adventures with my adult friends.

I want to have adult fun.

I want to get adult high with my baby bowl.

But I like my baby consequences and punishments;

I like my baby risks.

Adult adventures. Adult risks.

Maybe its not my birthday.
