The Vibrations

The Vibrations

A Poem by Kara Hadley
"

my morning. -enjoy-

"

“maybe it’s my heart,”

the little girl wondered.

“a murmur?”

the image on the screen changed songs.

the juke box in her head dropped another 45.

Power Pop Teen Rock rolled forth

and her heart continued to absorb…

the Vibrations.

a haunting feeling;

pulling organs down.

Down.

“Follow me down,” he said.

another 45:

another drop,

another Vibration.

But why? Where?

Go? Goes.

her coffee filled stomach;

her moth filled stomach;

ripples through a water balloon.

Wondering,

she sits entranced by the feeling.

another 45 drops in her head

and her heart stops,

but the Vibrations continue.
