The Vexed soulA Poem by sublime divinityThe thoughts that come across your mind when you are confused about what to do next. The Vexed soul I took it right on my face, Did bite the dust out of disgrace. Found it was not always the sunny side, And it’s not always luck sways your way. Although your insecurities you try to hide, They keep lingering every day.
The grass is always green on the other side, There is silence before the storm, And there’s still the last stone left unturned. There's last leap before you fall, There a last spark, before you burn. And there's always a last laugh before you cry. But today is not that day.
Whims and wishes pushed down the drain, Condolence have lost their flight to their receiver, With so much more to take, and so less to lean upon, I can just cry like a river. My soul is vexed, my mind perplexed. Still waiting for the door to open for me. My fists have worn out banging, There is no answer for my chores of agony.
Waiting for a fairy to swoosh her wand, To swipe out all the misery, Or a golden goose to lay the eggs, That vanquishes me from world's treachery.
I thought I saw a light at the curve, But it was a trailer coming to run me down, I thought it was a voice to lift my spirits, But it was the devils ride that made that sound.
It will bring me down, but I must survive the day. For there is no other option, With all this pity I have to stay. © 2011 sublime divinity |
