Fade

Fade

A Poem by James Reader

He's chained to his feelings. Their baggage bears a heavy toll. He marches down this long and weary road. He wears a suit of armor constructed by his sins. His shield is made from anger to ward off any further mends. He fights these losing battles often prays for it to end but these chains are made of kryptonite for he was once superman. The light is slowly fading he can see his end.
