I wonder...the internet opens up so many possibilities, the shy ones can lose their shyness, that is what I think is the likely case, or that the social rules can be broken because no one can see what is happening online, plus, there are so many people online from all over the world, more exposure to people who may share your viewpoint.
As for me, I seem to attract similar people online and in real life, generally intelligent interesting people with unique ideas.
lol....thats hilarious. I always said I am so much better looking on the computer....I mean have you seen my asterisk? You crack me up, never fails. Nice job cuz.....
This is really funny, and just about sums-up what it means to have 'cyber-friends'. Except 'friends' in this sense are usually the equivalent of acquaintances at best; or someone who happened to laugh at something you said at a rock concert; or someone who scrawled some graffiti in the dust on your unwashed van.
This highlights the difference between the outside world and the ether-world. Anonymity is a perfect cloak for the would-be extrovert who wouldn't normally speak to anyone unless they knew them very well personally and fitted into their peer group. Perhaps the internet offers us a lot more than the average constraint of our ordinary lives. An interesting point to make and very valid. Simple but effective insight expressed with humour.

Maybe because on the streets people are too preoccupied to stop and look?
I find that when I'm on the internet I'm usually bored enough to take hours with something only so that I can waste time.
Hee, I don't know. It's a very good question I'll have to look into it now.
Aanyway, that aside, I liked the poem!
That's an excellent question. In the real world, I'm a cold bowl of oatmeal, but online, some think I'm a big ol' bowl of spicy gumbo. (At least I remain in a bowl) If you find the answer to this puzzle, please share it with me.
