Staring souls

Staring souls

A Poem by stych

I wanted him to look back
And after the longest second he did.
That moment our eyes met,
It was as if nothing else mattered.
As if we were in our own little bubble
I still remember the radio buzzing in the background,
The horns tooting and people walking past us
I remember as if it happened a moment ago
It may have lasted only a few seconds.
But It meant everything.
Staring into each others eyes felt
as if we were staring into our souls.
We did say a word our eyes did the talking
It told all that they decided to leave unsaid.
It was more than a simple glace
They looked at each other a little too long to be ' Just Friends'
They were full of wonder that it was hard to look away.
But finally they did because,
It was too late now.
