the question

just a short little story-ish thing that I wrote in like 5 mins haha

"Do you love me?" The words cling to the hollow confines of my throat as I watch your silhouette in the glow of the moonlight, peeking through the half-drawn blinds. The rise and fall of your chest so gentle as dreams of what I hope are of me dance across your eyelids like a movie scene. Without a word, you pull me into your arms, burying your face into my messy hair, your snoring finding its rhythm again. I snuggle in close, the words dying on my tongue before they even make it to my lips. The question lost as I smile, drifting off to sleep so I can join you in your dreams.
