Silent EmberA Chapter by John StussyBand geek breathing exercises Are practiced through a simple concotion, Motley but beautiful conglomeration Of what must be a madman's chemicals. This bitter taste is my home now, A fitting, soothing sanctuary For all these meandering, pathetic thoughts. Pitch black darkness consumes it all, The flame, it flickers, dancing briefly Until your ember is glowing soft. I can gaze into that wonderous sight, My only little bit of light, While time remains rigid in disapproval. This kiss, this taste upon my lips, Along my tongue, within my lungs, Shall be the only one I'll know To the end of these garish days. And it's been said that we all need Rough oxygen to fill our lungs. I'll give up all that stale air To breathe this hissing, lasting sigh... © 2012 John StussyFeatured Review
