Flying SoloA Poem by John StussyUgh.Don't want anyone close, Don't require a soulmate. I'm a lone wolf for a reason, Can hold my own throughout life. Love is a foreign word never spoken here. Flog me, bring the blood. Give me pain to keep me going And draw the romance out of me. I have no need of it at all. Weakness manifests itself in the heart. What is the reason I have for the desire to be close To another human being, to share my life with them? Is there purpose to such emotions within? What kind of lone wolf would I be if I loved? My strength might diminish, my reliability wane. Furthermore what person is there around Who would want to approach this untamed wolf? A past of darkness and insanity within, And no reason to draw close to know me. I suppose some people were made to fly solo. © 2009 John StussyReviews
