DesertA Poem by John StussyWritten about the sunsets by my house, took the pic myself of one of them :)Look around, admire with me This rugged paradise I know. Precious in so many ways, But few stop to observe this gem. It's the reward I get After a long day's work. Standing outside my home With a cool glass of sweet tea, I'll watch the sky explode In gentle, harmonic peace. Golden clouds burn and brand A sky of pure rose quartz. The sun crowns the western mountains, Kings of the land before them. A gentle desert breeze with a hint of sage Mixed with mesquite's masculinity Is the perfume of this land. This is what makes the desert My place, My home. © 2008 John StussyReviews
