I Let It DieA Poem by John StussyReflection. The question Why'd you have to go and let it die? made me think about some stuff.
Live the life of a bachelor, man. Flirt and make ‘em blush all you want Have your fun if you must. Every night you’ll be alone. You know it well, you do Because you let your heart die. Why’d you have to go and let it die? No more feeling that sweet romance ‘Cause nobody’s gonna mean it When you simplify the math. One minus a half is a half, Not even a full person anymore. You lost yourself in hate boy. Why’d you have to go and live your hate? Look where you are now And smile your gruesome grin. See what you’ve done to yourself? Better be proud, ‘cause you’ve gotta be strong. No excuses for letting up And becoming a weak one now. Why’d you have to go and kill yourself? I’ve killed my humanity. © 2008 John StussyAuthor's Note
