My Dream Love

My Dream Love

A Poem by John Stussy
"

Something no woman can compare to.

"

This world has turned bland before my eyes

As I thought about it, I’ve realized

My perfect love is one to never materialize

For another dimension is her clever disguise.

The loneliness, it’s dulled it all,

My senses are faded to a dim lead grey.

This heart of mine is open to the fact

Completion lies not in any human being.

Loneliness, I said, though not sadness

For the love I’ve held for this being

Is the purest romance known to hearts

That know what true love is.

I welcome this romanceless life.

For how can one settle for less

When they know that their heart lies deep

Within the thing we know as creativity?

This so falls in line with me, actually. Trying to find 'The One'... Calling, Calling, and Calling to someone...who never answers. And they've become a lost soul forever because they can not find their true love. We all want the best looking, and the best-hearted people, but, to me, it seems that they've disappeared, vanished, or are ghosts. And maybe...just maybe...they are calling us...but we cant here them. Now u've inspired me to write a poem now about this hehe!! Thanx John lol! Damn, ur good lol!

Great Job!

Pure Talent!
The last stanza really just gets me like a slap in the face...like being pushed down into reality!
Kudos!!

Ahh, love this Sir Stussy! Indeed, often the dream girl or guy we imagine lasts so long as a dream themselves, but in Prose, in literature, we find an everlasting union that is often closer than any being could be. The romance of a poet and their work is a beautiful thing, and you've got the key to it in this poem. Lovely work!!~P

Sometimes I fell like that. I feel like I'm very shallow a times and I have to pick the best looking girls. Which doesn't always work out. Beautiful poem, congrats.

This is so beautiful. You have such creativity when you write. It amazes me. My favorite part was Loneliness, I said, though not sadness

It was so pure and beautiful. Great job
