I agree with every line, and there were many good lines, many good questions...questions that have been asked from the beginning of man's written history. Unfortunately, no man has ever, or will ever stop hate. We can only control how "we" treat other people, and hope for a miracle. Good piece. Rain..

Probing questions indeed, the Questions intensified with the unusual formatting and font choices. This is a honest to goodness, kick rear piece, and I have to second your Question "why hate"? hate indeed. So many people in this world just assume that since another person has a different way of believing or living, that they should take it upon themselves to "eradicate" the problem. It's that mentality that birthed the Holocaust! Great work Stussy, I stand in awe, once again. ;) ~P
Good write, it definitely gets your point across. However, there is no answer to your question. People do what people do. Maybe it's that they're all heathens, or maybe we're all just born to hate no matter what. Either way, I say we all just roll a joint, pass it around and enjoy some diverse company!
Prejudice is something the Human race cannot escape. "You're different than me? I don't like you" That is the way we think. Nothing will ever change that. It is the sad known truth and people have to accept that. We can find religion or a zen like state of enlightenment, but nothing anyone does will change the way we think. That is not to say people shouldn't try to change the world, as long as they know it is for naught.
Yes, I realize that what I just said is kind of what this piece is against, but I felt the need to reply like I did.
However, I enjoyed what you wrote. I am guilty of prejudice myself, but it is not so much a prejudice as it is holding the Human race to a higher standard. I hate the world because I realize we are on our way, day by day, to be like the movie "Idiocracy". Is that blind hatred, to hate the world without knowing everyone in the world? I guess it is, but I can only base my opinion of what I see on the news and witness at the local grocery store.
I see people in Africa killing each other because someone doesn't have faith in the same higher being as them. I see a white man slowing down for a group of black guys to walk across the street and the black people flipping out for no apparent reason. And I see non-English speaking people working in law enforcement. I see white people hating other races for no other reason than just to hate them because that is what their father, before them, did.
You pose interesting questions, my friend and I am afraid that for as long as I have been around people discriminate against each other. I wish that they'd go back tot he old ways where people could be trusted and your child could go anywhere without fear. Unfortunately, the grass doesn't look as green as I remembered it once upon a time and in a way it pains me. Hatred has substituted Love and Trust and has convinced humankind that it [hatred] is the fuel to make the world work. How one has always have to be above the other and there is no such thing as equality in this world. Not anymore. Emos, punkers, rockers, gays, women... anything is used as a method to prove that one race or one category of humans is better than the other. Dominance is something that is looked down upon until it brigs home trophies and wins wars. Silly little humans, am I right? If only they knew they fight and they fight only to realize they're fighting allies instead of enemies. The Intelligence keeps growing and the education seems to be more valued because it brings money.
Well.. great piece my friend it was a pleasure.

Love this. Not sure about the variety of fonts as an aid to reading it, but certainly emphasises the rage and confusion of the writer. Can I say, I hear this!! Nice write, good words, well spun poem with a heartfelt plea.
Cook, writer, reader, musician. I don't bte, unless asked to or bitten first.
My site's link is to some recordings of my poetry, and I might add some recordings of me playing my sax onto there too... more..
