I Dance!A Poem by John Stussy:D you will never guess what inspired this one.
The beat pulses through my limbs,
Crescendoing with every note Until it is a nice solid tune, And I sit there singing along. Before long I have forgotten How the hell to frown and scowl. Rather I start to smile subtly, And my toes tap on the ground. I get up out of my chair And decide to dance a little. My arms and legs do deserve The freedom of such movements. My whole body moves to the sounds, Bouncing and grooving happily. This is what I needed damn it, This feeling of movement and ease. For just a moment as the song ends I feel slightly sad for the silence. Then I pause, thinking why the hell not, And flip on another dance tune.
