Come And Write With Me

Inspired by my playlist for the contest Poem Off of Music.

 

Come with me to a happier place,

Where we can write a story together.

Two friends in the middle of nowhere

Talking of ideas and various characters.

We’ll while away the hours making this world,

A story that is real in our minds alone.

The mysteries of hidden occults discovered,

Or the brave battles we can take part in.

We’ll be heroes together in our little worlds,

A place for friends to bond and create.

 

Shall we write of the passions of love?

Or perhaps the pain of the deepest of losses?

So may battles more than with simple swords

We can write together, you know, my friend.

Inspiring stories of personal experiences

Warped slightly to directions we wish for,

With this place for writing we can change our lives.

We can change the basis of our world.

Will you come with me on this journey,

Collaborate with me to write these tales?

 

The skies are not even the limit with what us two

Can do with the way we shape our words.

Please come with me to the writing place

And share thoughts and inspiration with me.

Help me to write a tale that will never be forgotten,

A story to stand the trials of time.

Let us work as a team of writers and create something new,

A piece of writing that could only be written

By several persons with this passion for words.

Write a story, a poem, a tale, a song, a limerick, a sonnet.

Bloody hell, this sounds like an invite from a young Prospero type character who has just discovered his magic books and is set on making the most of his new powers in a creative way. Totally fascinating. Prospero on his magic island is sometimes said to be Shakespeare's projection of himself. I am not a natural collaborator, but might get into it if led. Five acts...comedy, right? Title?

I like the message here - and the idea that our words, while maybe not changing the world, can create better worlds - where all things are possible. an inspirational write here - I've never done any collaborating - my writing process is so odd that I'm not sure how I'd fare- but I imagine it would be an amazing exercise in creativity.
