Sweetest Sound

I'm a musician. I love sound. Think what you will of this.

Have you ever heard a certain sound

That stops your heart hot in its tracks?

A dance of pitch and lovely tone

That enchants your very soul?

'Tis an experience most wond'rous,

Occurrence that makes you pond'rous

Over all aspects of true beauty,

Makes your heart tick serenity.

Have you heard a song in a single sound

That takes you higher than the clouds?

Resonance that pierces dreams

And haunts your every waking thought?

To undergo such simple bliss

Will make one feel so very alive.

I enjoyed reading this poem. I agree with sis. You are a wonderful musician as well. Every one has a certain sound that they can resonate with. Everyone has a different sound that they hear everyday in their hearts. Can't wait to read more from you, daddykins. Thanks for sharing. :)

yes, i have often been stopped in my tracks by hearing a sound, and i have danced to it...no matter where i am or whom i am with.

and have heard such songs that bring me bliss or sometimes bring a tear.

but either way...music has always been in me, so i really appreciate this piece greatly.

Open to the readers' interpretations, it's simply meant to make them reflect on that one magical sound that they've heard that affected them just so. Each reader will hear something different in their head.
