Normally, I do not mix politics stuff with my creativity, they can take away from each other. But as this voting session draws nearer, I am more and more baffled by the lack of education in the American people overall. Everyone seems to think that we have to vote for either Romney or Obama, but this just isn't the case. To try to do the little bit that I can as an American, I have decided to break my general rule, in the hopes that even one individual will see this and educate themselves on the political situation and use their vote properly.
I can't in good conscience say that I am doing my duty as an American citizen in voting for someone whose political and past stances I simply don't believe in. I believe both Obama and Romney are crooks, both are funded by the banks that have huge stakes in our unnecessary wars and import over export business. This is the reason we have more parties than simply A and B, because such corruption between our two main parties was inevitable. We as Americans have not just an opportunity or the right, but the Constitutional obligation, to pick leadership that is fitting to the Constitution written by our forefathers. At the moment, both Republican and Democratic parties are trying to take our civil liberties, so neither should have any American's vote. Unfortunately, the media, owned by either political party A or B since they have the most funding (no surprises there, they're backed by the crooked oil-hungry warmongering banks), are quite one-sided and it's no wonder that most don't even hear about the third party politicians. To quote Thomas Jefferson, "If we are to guard against ignorance and remain free, it is the responsibility of every American to be informed." We should all be keeping tabs on what's going on politically, research the candidates, then use our vote by voting intelligently rather than wasting our votes by voting for spoonfed options.
My challenge to any who read this is simply to research every one of your options on that ballot, and to vote according to the Constitution. We can't run this country into the ground as we have been doing for so long. The power belongs to the people still, but it won't for too much longer if we keep within the outlines our government sets for us. Use the power of your vote, and vote wisely.
Long live America, and long live the Constitution!
It's worth noting that the founding fathers stated that for democracy to work, it would have to be a Christian nation. "One nation, under God" God was the glue that held everyone together. Without the Lord to unite them in the one universal belief that we need to get along peacefully, the senators and the American people would rip each other to shreds (sort of like what's becoming more and more evident in our modern-day culture. We've thrown God out--everything else is following) I like what you said here, and I agree with most of it. As far as a needless war goes, well . . . I've seen the terrorists attacks, and I can't say the War on Terror is needless. I can say I might not agree with how it's being fought, but never needless. Whenever I hear someone say needless war, or unjust war, I can't help remembering 9-11. I wonder how our own fellow Americans could forget their fellow countrymen's lives so quickly. Were the victims of 9-11 so trivial that it's not worth tracking down their murderers? (That's my belief, anyway--yet it's hard to make liberal anti-war protestors see that. Continually mystifies me)

Gotta agree with you, once we started removing God, the morals stared to follow as well. The reason I call the wars pointless is that they're pretty much over oil control now. The War on Terror is completely justified, anyone who seeks to eradicate an entire people and cause harm to many are to be treated as a mad dog and put down for the safety of others. The biggest reason we're in the Middle East however is to line the pockets of bankers. The soldiers know this, and most don't agree with the politicians' reasons for the wars. We should be hunting terrorists, but we shouldn't be trying to force control over the governments of other countries, and we shouldn't be trying to monopolize the world's resources.

Everyone else will be attacking us to gain their shares then, much like we're doing in the Middle East. Also, we have several means of replacing oil-based energies, the reason we keep using them is because our legislators are backed by the banks that are invested in foreign oil fields. We would also help ourselves out immensely if we made the switch back to being a nation of export rather than one of import. That alone would open up an insane amount of jobs across the nation, and rather than depending on the cheap labor offered in foreign countries that ship in our goods at higher prices due to import/export taxes, we can become the economic power we once were. We can improve our economic status drastically if we focused more on development in our own country instead of paying China and others to make our goods.

Speaking as a registered voter, I can honestly say my political views are somewhat Libertarian (I'm all for smaller government and personal freedom, etc...) BUT...I can never bring myself to vote for the Libertarian on the ballot, because, face it, he's not going to win, and, if I vote for him, well, I just wasted my vote (I can hear you cringing from here)...I am unhappy with the current administration, so I will do everything in my power to make sure it doesn't repeat itself. And, in 4 more years, if I am still unhappy with the administration, I will use my vote to try and make that right, too. Unfortunately, when dealing with the left and the right, there is not a whole lot of room in the middle for the Libertarian to make his mark.

First off, our original choice, Ron Paul, had the biggest conventions, usually had triple the attendance of either Romney or Obama. When he fell out of the race, Dr. Paul urged his voters to vote for Gary Johnson, since he stands for essentially the same things. Since the media is trying to keep the public sedated with only two options, it stands to us to enlighten people. There are a lot of us doing so, and I think we honestly can pull this off. We just need to remind the other voters that they don't have to vote for either Republican or Democrat. We have to step up, we can't remain silent.

Amen. People tend to label themselves either a Republican or Democrat and then vote straight down a party line without a second thought. People need to do more research and if they hold the same opinions, so be it. But they do need to educate themselves more. Awesome, I love it.
