A Poem by Holly

I don't know

if it's right

I can't tell

in this light

sitting here

living life

thinking hell

might suffice

who's to say

that I'm wrong

relief will come

but can pain

succumb

 to my fate

at my feet

constant clouds

will defeat

my brief light

snuffed and gone

vanished, killed

like everyone's

should I stay

oppressed and weary

or should I go

and chance the dreary

should I gamble

with stakes so high

as a soul

or a life

I'm the victim

of one's mind

no hero I can be

no way out I can see

 but nonetheless

the question wonders

will I be showered with gifts of gold

and grasp happiness with a hold

or will the flames engulf me still

suffocating with such a will

that left no choice

but to regret

that my soul

now free of bounds

is better off

earthbound than gone

Girllllllllllllllll, you hit life for most of us right on the head. For something so quickly written, because you knew what you wanted to say. I hope it makes others feel that they are not alone when evaluating life. Love it!

This was great. The flow of the really short lines really came together and the rhyming added to the effect. And the theme was a bit sad and sorrowful to me, but it was great that way. well done! :)

I loved it, the flow was great. "or should I go, and chance the dreary" that was a great line.

Ohz M Gzzz. SUCCUMB WAS INWORDLY WISE!!! That's special. But I love the flow and the back and fourth, weighing the outcomes. Had a rather capturing flow. Great work, my friend.
