A Poem by Holly

My black heart

dried and small

saw a sparkle

that was all

all it grows

bright and strong

black is fading

light will come

but to put

it in your hands

irresponsible

to much to stand

is it possible

to turn it off

flip a switch

it must be wrong

I hate the twinkle

that turned so bright

why must you feed it with your light

my mind's a blur

a bloody fight

indestructable

no way is right

it won't work out

this I know

yet I still

have no control

I hope you hear

what you're doing to me

and feel a fraction

of my pain
