R.I.P

A Poem by Holly

No matter what the century

you must face inevitibility

and I am only one

among the thousands

that surround me

Am I no one nothing

no individuality

Am I that devoid

of things that make me me

If I died tommorow

would anybody care

as flesh rotted off my bones

and putrifed the air

imagine what would happen

if I took the gun to heart

pulled the trigger back

and let my blood run

If I were a betting man

I'd bet you'd have no care

If my breathing were to cease

and mind refused to think

would I merely be

the gossip of the week

why would I want to live

if I can't be free

I have nothing good to offer

no redeeming quality

man kind will be better off

when there's no more me
