I Believe in an Eternal God

I Believe in an Eternal God

A Poem by Christina
"

This is not really a poem. It's just thoughts that I wanted to share.

"

Yes, I believe that He has always existed.

Sound crazy? Yep, of course it does.

But, what isn’t crazy about our existence.

It’s just as crazy as believing that humans evolved from monkeys.

Or that a magical explosion randomly happened in the

blackness of a universe that eventually lead to our existence.

It’s all bizarre, and wonderful.

I just choose to believe one crazy theory over the other.

The skeptic questions where God came from.

Well, God didn’t come from anywhere. He’s eternal.

But, the concept of something being eternal

and without origin is beyond our mind’s ability to comprehend.

We can’t understand it, so we choose to reject it.

The impossible stares us dead in the face every day.

Yet, people still question the possibility of a Creator.

Let’s then also question the motive.

Where did the motive come from that sparked the big bang?

Why would blackness suddenly decide to bring forth life?

How can nothingness decide to do anything?

Either way you look at it, something had to have

already been in existence for there to be any existence at all.

Either God is eternal, or the nothingness that spawned

life suddenly appeared out of nowhere.

But, either theory you believe in,

one sounds just as insane as the next.

We live on a floating ball surrounded

by other floating balls in a big black deepness

that has yet to be explained or explored…

If you wake up every day, you choose to believe in the impossible.

Our existence should be impossible. And yet, we are here.
