Faith

Faith

A Poem by Olando Lucas

Faith

(Faith, please don't leave me. How will I survive if you truly deserted me?

Faith, remember when I was young and had the whole world in front of me?

Faith, you held my hand, whenever this cold world confronted me.

Faith, you were the cool breeze that dried away my tears, when the sins of my father took away my years.

Faith, you were my strength and my guide through each day of those years.

Faith, you said if I believe in you, that you will never leave or forsake me.

Faith, my heart is full of burdens so at this moment I need you.

Faith, please take my hand as you did during my storms, and although this is just hard rain, I ask that you hold tight to my arm.

Faith, I give you my heart and soul, I give you my all, because at this second I have nothing more to let go.

Faith, my life belongs to you, so please guide me too

Faith, I must say, you have left me and now I lost my desire to pray.
