Lucifer's Song.

Contemplate not my innocence

but my honesty.

Do not berate me for my passion

but hold me to account

for the brutality I hold

buried in my tortured soul;

a price I pay for all such

naked exploitation,

and abuse of my Catholic flesh.

And should you dare decry me

I will offer my reply

in a dark satanic verse

who's melody is a shotgun

pointed at your Earth.

So understand,

do not berate me!

exploitation and abuse of my Catholic flesh. I am not sure why I find that such a fascinating line but I do. Was Lucifer honest or the master of lies? Or did Lucifer just use the right inflection to make the soul lie to itself.

Thank you Mark. I think the Church created lucifer to frighten their flock be it Cotholic or not.

I think the Church certainly defined him. There are references in the Old Testament, but certainly not as specific as the modern version.
