Inspired by the Wario Land series, Pizza Tower is a fast-paced 2D platformer stressing movement, exploration, and score attack.

Pizza Tower is a fast-paced 2D platformer inspired by the Wario Land series, with a focus on mobility, exploration, and score attack. The game's bosses are equally imaginative. You'll face difficulties such as a gunfight with a sentient cheese cowboy and a clash with Peppinos' archrival, The Noise, a mischievous gremlin who may or may not be based on a certain '90s pizza mascot. I won't spoil it, but the game's last boss and ensuing finale are both spectacular, on par with Bayonetta in terms of sheer spectacle.

Throughout the game, the bright pixel art gives each adversary, item, and scenery a wacky, zany personality. Peppino never speaks, yet his animations make him feel like a rich, complete character. Each level's title card takes the art style in a different way, ranging from a Terminator parody to a Castlevania imitation. It's absolutely beautiful to look at and genuinely humorous, with visual gags that had me laughing out loud more than anything I'd played in years.
