The New World

The New World

A Chapter by Strawberry
"

Written from Captain John Smith's perspective - a poem.

"

Though we have suffered from the perilous sea, our venture is nigh over.

Land ahoy.

The crew cheered at the call.

The tumultuous journey was too much for some,

But we are grateful to remain alive.

We arrive.

To set foot on the New World is the greatest prize.

We go in God’s name.

It is in him, whom we must thank and trust,

As we adjust to the unknown.
