The Perfect Sacfrifice

The Perfect Sacfrifice

A Poem by Strawberry
"

A religious poem written 3 years ago as part of the 24-7 prayer project.

"
Drip by Drip,
 it consumes you.
Fills you like a cavernous hole.
Digging deeper and deeper.
It eats you up, echoing.
It’s what you say, think and do.
It consumes you.
Traps you.
Until you need to shout,
to scream His name; your Saviour, Jesus.
And his love flows, as a river in your veins,
filling the hole, filling your life, saved from sin.

this is a good work i was captivated by it up to the point where religion got involved i'm not much of a pious man , but i liked it , its short sweet and inspiring , i don't like pointing out negatives please don';t hate me but your use of simile's in this poem especially 11 should be reviewed , i think you can use "like" instead of "as" in that scenario . that's all i hate being a critique . over all it was great though :)
