JUST FEELINGS

JUST FEELINGS

A Poem by Jonathan

I used to find it so easy to give my heart away
Unaware of the price i would have to pay
I found out the hard way that love is no friend of mine
Cause all it does is hurt me every single time
An angel i had fallen for
Then i find out she wants to be a w***e
Sadness this brings to my soul
Knowing im destined to be alone
This angel had all the intangibles to be something special
A sensitive heart, talented, creative and down right beautiful
She probably didnt see it, but i saw potential
I guess i didnt matter to her at all
I guess i was just another stranger
Yet, i will not close my heart to the world
I will love again, but not just one person
And to those that find this to be a dubious claim
I will prove them wrong i will show them all
That my fist maybe small, but but my heart is giagantic
And all i want to do is show it
Lets put it this way so you'll understand
The  reason why i live is because i have so much love to give
Nothing more nor nothing less simply love and thats it

my only critizism is that you start out by rhyming and then stop halfway through, which makes me wonder if that was intentional or not. I think if you were trying to make a statement, which is how i read it, that once you bring the idea of being "alone" you stop the rhyming scheme which is a powerful idea that i have used in some poetry as well. I wonder if you could make this stronger (if it was intentional if not then i feel stupid haha) anyway you are a talented writer and im enjoying reading your stuff

Great! Sweet. We all love to love. And sometimes it hurts.

I really like this poem you wrote. It has a nice, but passionate flux to it.
"That my fist maybe small, but but my heart is giagantic"; a very creative line, to add to your ending
