I stand alone Upon a mountain Looking at the sun The orange and gold strike my face The air, like after a storm Behind me lies the darkened sky A long low rumble calls to me But I do not turn round I do not give in With courage deep within my heart And fortitude in my soul I pick up my once dragging feet It’s time for me to journey on And the past now must be gone Guided by the wind, I press on © 2010 SarahAuthor's Note
