Small VoicesA Poem by StormeLightSociety calls us a nobody And takes all our power away Trying to take the passion From voices long held at bay We think we make no difference With everything we say But why would the small Someday become the great? You think you have no power You think you have no influence Breathing every breath you take Afraid of all the dissonance You don't see your harmony But I can see it clear All the words you say have power Small voices hear Loud voices bark Small voices hear Your voice is like a ripple in a lake with the choices you make every day Your voice is a ripple in a lake Breaking all the chains Someday you will see it all From an aerial perspective Wondering how you felt small When you were part of the collective It doesn't take a million Voices to make a difference Just the passion of a few Willing to go against the system
