Room to Grow

Room to Grow

A Poem by StormeLight

Clinging to vines

That strangle me every time

Afraid to lose control

Though I need room to grow

The never-ending change of seasons

Thinking there must be another reason

Though it is just the change of seasons

Seasons will come and go

I will still need room to grow

Sometimes I feel like a hanging plant

Hanging over the cityscape

Watching others live their lives

Feeling like an insignificant passerby

The flood gates I'd opened

They always ebb and they flow

Asking me,

When I will give myself

Room to grow
