A poem about a car

The underrated carburettor

In the overrated car

Was the only piece

That wasn’t second hand

It allowed the car to move

At his command

You understand

Without the engine in it

The car was just about

Finished

For the wheels wouldn’t

Do anything

But stand

still

no matter how he beat it

no matter how he cried

nothing would go anywhere

if the carburettor died.

It doesn’t matter how it looks

A vehicle is no good

If it doesn’t have the moving

Parts inside.
