In A Dark Place

Title speaks for itself, needed to let it out.

IN A DARK PLACE

I would never do it...
That doesn't stop me from thinking about it.

Enough is enough
I am not strong
Push me down again
Or I can sabotage myself

A dozen 'what if' scenarios
Play out in succession
Hovering over details,
It keeps me from acting,
Until I find the right one.

The one that'll suit this spiral,
I'm heading down.
I hate myself,
I should turn around
But I'm already down.

A car,
Peak hour traffic.
A fall,
From a dazzling height.

A cut,
From a sparkling blade.

All I would need is to take that first step
I stand on the edge,
I can see myself teeter...

I would never do it...
That's what I always said
Now, I'm not so sure.

Here is a place few will admit to having visited, let alone having tarried. Each method mentioned is telling of the need for emotive release. That experience of built up tightness in the chest. The closing of ones throat and moments where ones eyes are shrink wrapped in tears that just won't fall.

This takes me to those moments. It brings me to this very, very dark place effectively. Well worded and the sentence structure is pleasing.

I suppose that's long-winded for "I really like this. It does something for me."
